Julie Muller, Board Vice President

Julie Mueller

Following a childhood in an Air Force family spent between Alaska, Illinois, and Minnesota, Julie attended college on the East coast and then volunteered with the Peace Corps in West Africa. She eventually decided tropical heat was not for her and pursued a physician assistant degree from ISU. Upon graduation, she moved to Interior Alaska for two years to practice medicine. Eventually she moved to the Intermountain West in 2007 and settled in Idaho in 2012 with her husband. Julie occasionally practices medicine in Antarctican field camps and can also be found singing in choir or repairing her husband’s clothing on a heavy-duty sewing machine. She is generally happiest outside and spends her time between Nordic and Alpine skiing, biking, whitewater rafting, hiking, and hunting. Julie learned how to trap beaver in Minnesota after college with a hunting mentor and then began hunting white tail with her father and brothers after she became a PA. Years later she brought her guns West in pursuit of Pronghorn and Wapiti. She’s been hunting elk in Idaho for the past six years and eagerly awaits the start of a new season. In the future, Julie would like to learn how to hunt upland birds.
