Dr. Glen Shapiro is a retired orthopedic surgeon whose distinguished career spanned decades of restoring mobility and transforming lives through innovative joint reconstruction and sports medicine. Now joyfully embracing in his next chapter, Glen remains a devoted husband and father, whose greatest pride is family. As a passionate amateur astronomer and Astro photographer, he chases dark skies from Tasmania to the Atacama. Glen is also a lifelong outdoorsman who often rises before dawn to cast dry flies for wild trout, stalk deer and elk in the Idaho mountains, or chase wild birds with his two yellow lab fur babies. Glen is a committed conservation steward, physician educator, avid traveler, and creative home cook who believes the best meals are shared around a campfire or a candlelit table. He lives each day with deep gratitude for the privilege of health, wild places, and company of people he loves.
