Partnerships are essential to preserving fish and wildlife habitats and public access.

Wildlife Habitat & Heritage

Those of us who live in Idaho are fortunate to have a bounty of nature’s most beautiful landscapes and natural resources. We appreciate the unique opportunities present in a land with such rich and diverse wildlife in their wondrous natural settings. And, we recognize the importance of preserving wildlife environs and habitats for many generations to come.

The Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation develops resources and partnerships to preserve fish and wildlife habitats for the public good. In this regard, the Foundation focuses its efforts on the following areas:

  • Tax-deductible partnerships with landowners through Conservation Easements that support the preservation of important fish and wildlife habitat;
  • Partnerships with private landowners, community leaders, businesses, nonprofit organizations and state agencies to enhance Public Access to wildlife-based recreation;
  • Donor-advised trusts, endowed funds or donations of land that are directed to a variety of purposes that support wildlife management, the sustainability of wildlife resources, and educational programs to enhance understanding of wildlife and wildlife-based conservation and recreation.

The Foundation’s other major programs include Project Funding that supports conservation and education activities and the sponsorship
of the Idaho Wildlife license plates.
